  • Financial assistance is available. Complete the Financial Aid Application and send it to the address provided.
  • Mod Soccer is for players born between 2010 (U9) and 2014 (U5). Players born before 2010 must register for Recreational Soccer (U10+). Per WYSA rules, a player must play at their age group or an older age group.
  • Players wishing to play up an age group should register for their correct age group and request this on their application. GRTYSA will transfer their registration to the requested age group.
  • When requesting a team, please use the coach's name instead of the team name. This will help eliminate confusion when assigning players.

USSF (United States Soccer Federation) Rules

USSF (United States Soccer Federation) mandated player development initiatives for Fall 2017. GRTYSA adopted these new standards starting in the Fall of 2016.

Here are the basics in regards of the birth year initiative:

  • Organizing youth born in the same year to play at the same age group simplifies and standardizes soccer structure across the nation.
  • Coaches do have the option to "play up" in order to keep their team together. This will be a coach decision.
  • Having players train and play according to their age and developmental stage supports the objectives of the small sided standards by focusing on the physiological and developmental needs of the player.
